SUMMER BY THE RIVER: LONDON CITY VOICES

London City Voices is a non-audition choir with three in-person branches across the capital, plus an online branch. They have recorded with Annie Lennox, sung at Wembley Stadium and raised thousands of pounds for charity. There are currently around 600 people in the choir, and they regularly sell out venues such as Troxy and Hackney Empire.

Run by Richard, Kate and Ben Swan, London City Voices prides itself on its inclusivity. They are friendly, welcoming, and there's a lot more going on than just singing in their community. They run holidays, open mics, quiz nights, networking events and parties.

If you're not sure if singing is your thing, but you like the sound of the choir, Richard has written a book called "Think You Can't Sing? Think Again!", which might just point you in the right direction.
