St Giles is a national charity using real-life past experiences to provide advice, training and support to people facing challenges today.

They help people held back by poverty, unemployment, the criminal justice system, homelessness, exploitation and abuse to build a positive future.

Join them for a special evening as they curate a relaxed takeover at Summer by the River, bringing together a thoughtful blend of live music and good company.

DJ RITU

DJ Ritu MBE is a trailblazing broadcaster, turntablist, radio and event producer. She is the voice of the UK’s definitive global music show, A World in London. Ritu’s music career spans almost 4 decades, including 22 years at the BBC, co-founding cult label Outcaste Records, touring in over 35 countries with her bands Sister India and The Asian Equation, plus performing at major venues and festivals like Glastonbury, Boiler Room, Fabric, Printworks,Tate Britain, BFI, Boxpark, Spiritland, WOMAD, Royal Festival Hall, V&A, National
Theatre, Jazz Café & Trafalgar Square.

Ritu’s musical repertoire is richly eclectic, specialising in World Music genres and western dance music, incorporating Soul, Motown, Disco, House, and more! She has worked alongside illustrious artists like Salif Keita, Edwin Starr, and Buena Vista Social Club, plus interviewed iconic global stars on her radio shows. A Rough Guides CD compiler, Ritu co-founded the UK’s longest-running South Asian music club nights.

NATALIE GRAY

Described as the love child of the 1975 and Madonna, Natalie Gray will have you on your feet dancing like it's 1989. Taking influence from Whitney Houston and Madonna, Natalie guarantees epic guitar solos, all the synths and a lot of colour! Supported by BBC introducing Natalie's last few singles have hit big numbers and supported on radio stations and Spotify playlists. Natalie has toured the UK with her band supporting artists such as Becky Hill at Pride in London, Rag'n'Bone Man at Penn Fest and Ellie Dixon at Matchstick. Natalie also put on her own music tour in association with Women's Aid, performing alongside artists such as Billy Lockett, Sody and Push Baby. Natalie is an independent artist and currently working closely with under the radar London on helping promote other upcoming artists.

OFFICIAL SHANNON

From Highams Park to headlining arenas, Official Shannon is fast becoming one of the UK's most compelling new voices. A BRIT School graduate with the soulful pop flair of alumni like GRACEY and Olivia Dean, she’s already earned “Best Live Session” nods from BBC Introducing and lit up stages from Ronnie Scott’s to The Copper Box Arena. With her bold anthem ‘Dress To Please’ making waves and a Glastonbury long-listing under her belt, 2025 is shaping up to be her breakout year. Official Shannon advocates for authenticity and self-belief through her well written meaningful pop songs so others can feel enabled to pursue their passions and feel empowered to be themselves.
