SUMMER BY THE RIVER: ALICE IN WONDERLAND

Three actors bring to life the weird and wonderful characters Alice meets on her journey through Wonderland in this original adaptation of the novel by Lewis Carroll. Deftly interweaving Carroll's imaginative use of words with the Cat's Grin's continuing celebration of word play, this production celebrates the fun to be had with the English language.

Combined with a colourful cast of characters, in a deceptively simple setting, the story is told with the help of audience participation. The Dormouse, King of Hearts, the Hedgehog are just some of the roles taken by members of the audience. What is the White Rabbit late for? Why does the Duchess hurl plates? Who is the best dancer - the Hatter or the Hare? Can you cheer up the Mock Turtle? A show suitable for children aged 4 - 11 and grown ups of all ages.

A workshop follows the performance.
